Lance Montoute was born in the vibrant Caribbean town of Castries, St. Lucia. Montoute known by the stage name “Mac 11”, is a rising force on the Soca and Dancehall scene. As he was growing up, Mac 11 found inspiration in the legendary Vybz Kartel, Eminem, and the performances of Buju Banton, Machel Montano, Sparrow, and Burning Flames. These early influences shaped his musical journey and ignited the flame for his own unique style.

Motivated by his love of music and encouraged by those who recognized his musical talent, Mac 11 found a purpose in expressing himself through music, whether it was on the block, in church, or at school, he realized that his voice had the power to resonate with others. The St. Lucian native officially started his musical journey in high school but took a serious leap into the industry in 2009.

Mac 11 has graced major Festival stages like Labor Day in NY, Orlando Carnival, St. Lucia, Hartford CT, Trinidad, and Notting Hill Carnival, in London this year. He has already left his mark on small and large venues, captivating audiences with his authentic and energetic performances. With tracks such as his 2016 Road March hit “Padnas”, “Bend Up Your Back”, “Tick Tock on Tick Tock”, “Who Jah Bless”, “Not Interested”, and “Jouvert Anthem”, he brings a raw blend of witty lyrics and a dominating presence to his fans.
