Sweet Noyz

This group was born out of the desire to keep the traditional music
culture of Trinidad & Tobago alive in Connecticut.
The rhythm section is an intricate part of the musical landscape of the twin island nation and developed out of the African slavery experience. This group uses unrecognizable implements to re-create the traditional percussive rhythms which originated in the early slave carnival (canboulay) celebrations of the late 18th century.
